The St. John Coltrane African Church

is my documentary short about The St. John Coltrane African Orthodox Church. It profiles the leaders and organizers of this faith and shares in the unique spiritual experience to be found every Sunday in the heart of the San Francisco’s Fillmore District. Produced in pursuit of a Certificate in Digital Filmmaking at The San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking, A JOYFUL NOISE resulted in a commission for me to create a second, more in-depth film for the church.
